Whether you’re working from home, from the office, or sometimes both, workdays differ from role to role and company to company. At Edge, the busiest of the bunch are our Ambassadors. With each of our Ambassadors working with their clients, their workday is shaped by the tasks that you give to them. Once on boarded into an insurance agency, our Ambassadors are ready to get the ball rolling from day one!

To give you an insight into just what a day at work as an Edge Ambassador looks like, we asked one of our Ambassadors, Farrah,  to outline what her day-to-day looks like working with her agency partner and just how she’s supercharging her agency partner.

The following work timings and tasks are exclusive to Farrah. All Ambassadors work on the schedules and tasks that their agency partner requires from them.  

8:00 am

Farrah grabs a cup of coffee, gets her system started, and calls up her agency partner to get the day rolling. She discusses her agenda for the day, her tasks, and her progress on any prior tasks. 

8:30 am – 8:45 am  

Ambassadors have a quick 15-minute internal meeting at Edge with their Team Leaders where they’re able to give one another a motivational boost and share any advice to help their day be more productive. They’re also able to share any challenges they may be facing so our Team can help them find solutions. All Ambassadors let their agency partners know what time their internal meetings are and in case their agency partner needs them at that time, Ambassadors are able to be absent from the internal meeting. 

8:45 am – 9:30 am 

Farrah checks and responds to her emails. She then goes on to create her tasks for the day to help her stay organized and proactive.

9:30 am – 11:00 am

Since Farrah’s client has her focusing on front-end tasks along with back-end ones, she begins to take calls. Farrah ensures that she knows the local climate of her agency partner – for example, the fires in California, to provide customers with knowledgeable information when required.

On average, Farrah takes between 25-30 calls per day.

11:00 am

Farrah begins to follow up with clients on payments to ensure that they’re done in a timely manner. She lists down everyone she’s followed up with to update her agency partner.

12:00 – 12:30 pm

Lunchtime sets in and Farrah lets her agency partner know that she’s off for her 30-minute lunch break and if they need anything immediately before she takes her break.

12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

Farrah comes back from her lunch break and lets her agency partner know that she’s back and ready to continue on with the day. She begins to send out renewals to customers. Farrah stays on top of renewals by setting reminders prior to the policy expiry date to help significantly cut down on renewal time.

Farrah completes about 10-20 renewals per month.

1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Farrah continues working on her daily tasks provided by her agency partner or any new and abrupt tasks they need her to do. She continues to keep track of her tasks and remains organized throughout the day. Constantly checking in with her agency partner and updating them on her tasks is how Farrah keeps an open line of communication. 

4:30 pm – 5:00 pm

Farrah starts wrapping up her tasks for the day. She circles back with her agency partner to ask them if they need any additional assistance before she signs off for the day. She gives them a brief overview of her day and what she’s accomplished. This helps both herself and her agency partner communicate in a great way and remain organized for the upcoming day.
