The Edge Academy training program consists of a 30 day, in-depth, comprehensive training process with the use of state-of-the-art technology and best industry guidelines. Along with personal and commercial lines, our training program also has a focus on health and life insurance to ensure we’re able to cater to agencies with those specific service lines.
Our health and life insurance training only takes up to three days to complete which means your Ambassador is able to take on that role in no time. This also helps our current clients get their Ambassador trained in a short amount of time when required.

To ensure that your Ambassador is a perfect fit, we go a step above to tailor our training to match your agency’s needs. We also introduced a buddy program at Edge to fully equip an Ambassador with any hands-on training to specific client needs. The buddy program involves utilizing our internal resources who are already trained and well-experienced to mentor your new Ambassador to get up to speed.
Telephone Skills Training
Our extensive telephone training courses cover professional telephone techniques and call handling etiquette, with an emphasis on customer service. We know how much your customers mean to you and ensure that our Ambassadors are completely trained to take on your customer service front. Our Ambassadors go through up to 100 mock calls during their training to help prepare them for answering calls from customers when they’re onboarded at your agency. Most of our Ambassadors eventually become client-facing as a result of our hands-on telephone etiquette training.
Soft Skills Training
Our soft skills training program helps our Ambassadors build their interpersonal skills and how they interact with other people in the workplace. Building on communication skills helps our Ambassadors with their confidence and provides you with exceptional employee experience. One of our training programs includes business email writing where Ambassadors are able to practice and brush up on responding to a range of emails they could possibly face at your agency.
Carrier Specific Training
We understand the importance of an employee being well-versed on multiple carriers. Our carrier-specific training helps our Ambassadors gain hands-on experience with different carriers so that they can provide you and your customers with seamless service. They train in AMS360 and also have access to a range of regional carriers which you can check out here, where learn quickly how to quote on multiple carriers.
Systems, Technology, & Management Training
We spend a lot of time in systems, technology, and management training to additionally help our Ambassadors become specialized in up-to-date systems and tech used at agencies. With management training, we provide them with knowledge of common management techniques, enhancing their leadership skills.
Workplace Ethics & Diversity Training
Ethics and diversity are extremely important to us at Edge. We believe it’s essential to train each of our Ambassadors on ethics and diversity in the workplace. This helps them become rooted in the best industry practices when it comes to working with different teams and people from all walks of life.
